Fasten Seat Belts

Flying to Los Angeles from San Francisco the other day, a passenger noticed that the "Fasten Seat Belts" sign was kept lit during the whole journey although the flight was a particularly smooth one.

Just before landing, he asked the stewardess about it.

"Well," she explained, "up front there are 17 University of California girls going to Los Angeles for the weekend.

"In back, there are 25 Coast Guard enlistees. What would you do?"

Ask the Stewardess

A mother and her very young son were flying on Air New Zealand.

The little boy (who had been looking out the window) turned to his

mother and asked, 'If big dogs have baby dogs, and big cats have

baby cats, why don't big aeroplanes have baby aeroplanes?'

The mother, who could not think of an answer, told her son to ask
the stewardess. So the boy went down the aisle and asked the
stewardess.

The stewardess, who was very busy at the time, smiled and said,
'Did your mum tell you to ask me?'

The boy said, 'Yes, she did.'
